Avril Lavigne - Birthday Party @ Wet Republic (Photos) [10.02.10]

SPOILER ALERT: We have plenty of fabulously fresh fun pics, but none as hoped for of Avril in a bikini. Apparently she even broke one out, but perhaps photogs were not there to shoot that part of the party. Dammit.

Haute Event: Avril Lavigne Celebrates Her Birthday at Wet Republic

Susan Stapleton, Haute Living, 10.02.10 -- Rocker Avril Lavigne celebrated her 26th birthday at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic today. The singer arrived ready to rock in a black tank top and cropped pants with a hint of color in her pink zebra-printed belt. Proving she is a punk princess to the core, Lavigne’s fingernails were stylishly manicured with silver and black polish.

Making their way to the exclusive VIP bungalow, Lavigne and girlfriends squealed with excitement when they saw her Hpnotiq candy-themed décor. The singer immediately started snapping photos on her black-rhinestone phone of the Hpnotiq-swirled lollipops and pink skull-and-crossbones decorated bags. Lounging on her private daybed, Lavigne enjoyed the goodies and ordered up Wet Republic nosh including chips and salsa, country chicken fingers and Kobe sliders.

Slipping into a turquoise bandeau bikini and ready to get the party started, friends toasted Lavigne’s Vegas birthday with shots. Not even the unexpected rain could stop these ladies from celebrating. When the always steamy Wet Republic received a shower, Lavigne playfully grabbed a lollipop to use as a magic wand and commanded the rain to stop. The bikini-clad crowd at Wet Republic took advantage of the weather and began a massive dance party in the rain complete with fist-pumping, while DJ Hollywood spun hits to keep their bodies moving.

Lavigne slipped into a cobalt-blue hoodie right as cocktail servers equipped with dozens of sparklers surprised the pop star singing “Happy Birthday!” The beaming birthday girl danced around during the serenade before receiving a gorgeous three-tiered Hpnotiq-swirled and skull-and-crossbones stamped cake.

Avril Lavigne's Wet Republic Poolside Birthday Bash

Gossip Center, 10.02.10 -- Making for a belated celebration, Avril Lavigne partied it up for her 26th birthday at Wet Republic in Las Vegas on Saturday (October 2).

The Canadian singer-songwriter looked to be in a cheerful mood as she was presented with a specially crafted cake while surrounded by bikini clad poolside partiers.

Absent from the Sin City fete was Avril's boyfriend Brody Jenner - which adds merit to reports that the seemingly inseparable couple have hit a rough patch.

A source told Star magazine, “They had a major falling out around then and haven't seen each other since. Brody says Avril wasn't really making time for him anymore, since she's been under pressure to get into the studio to work on her new CD.”

The insider adds, “Brody hopes they can patch things up once she's not so busy. He wanted to marry her.”

But seriously, Brody was photographed out on the golf course with some buddies in San Diego on Saturday. Yet on September 29, the day after Av's birthday, Brody and Av were reportedly touring Napa Valley. They were tasting fine wines and observing the first fruit of the harvest.

In addition, thanks to the observant eye of Av fan Asu, in yesterday's pics Avril can be seen with a Cartier Love bracelet on her left arm. So while she still wears that hoop, Brody still has her heart under lock and key.

Per Wikipedia, the bracelet is "popular for its provocative and intentional) resemblance in function to medieval chastity belts. Unlike traditional bracelets, which are either wide enough to slip them over the hand onto the wrist or can readily be opened in order to put them on, the Love bracelet is designed to be opened only using a special screwdriver that is supplied with every bracelet. The screwdriver is also available in the form of a necklace, allowing the bracelet to be "locked" onto one person while the "key" is kept around the neck of another as a symbol for their commitment to their relationship. The screwdriver does not act as a secure key, however. The Love bracelet can actually be opened with any standard slotted screwdriver."

Plus, I noticed Avril is wearing a 'FUCK' necklace. It seems to match that below-the-left-breast, 'FUCK' tattoo she got when she was with Brody. That tat and thus that necklace seem to have special meaning to the two of them. (I can't imagine what.) IMHO that necklace also indicates she's with him.

Anyway, Avril may have been paid extra to appear at Wet Republic sans companion. Besides, Av was not present at Brody's recent public birthday bashes at Lavo Restaurant and Tao Beach in Las Vegas the last weekend of August. Avril was reportedly busy working on her recording her album in LA at the time.

Lavigne battled thunder and lightning -- and won. Nobody is gonna rain on her birthday parade!

Vegas DeLuxe’s insider spywitness reported that Lavigne arrived ready to rock and party wearing a black tank top and black cropped pants with a hint of color in her pink zebra-printed belt. Proving she is a punk princess to the core, her fingernails were manicured with silver and black polish.

Lavigne and her entourage made their way to a VIP bungalow, where they were delighted to discover Hpnotiq candy-themed decor. The “Skater Boi” and “Girlfriend” singer started snapping photographs on her black-rhinestone cell phone of the Hpnotiq-swirled lollipops and pink skull-and-crossbones decorated bags.
