Avril Lavigne - Nobody's Home & My Happy Ending (Good Morning America 11.9.04)

Now it is 9.11, and then it was 11.9. Both in NYC...

As part of ABC Good Morning America's 'Women Rule Concert Series' (sponsored by Kmart), Avril performed 'My Happy Ending' and 'Nobody's Home.'

NH was Avril's latest single, having just been released on iTunes less than two weeks previous, on Halloween '04. It would then come out on CD the following week, on November 16.

At this point Av was about 1&1/2 months into her world tour to support Under My Skin, the Bonez Tour. The night before this performance she played in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The night of her ABC-TV gig she would play in Fairfax, Virginia. So it may have been a little bit rough for our night owl to crawl out of her bus-bed at that early hour.

MHE gets things kick-started. Then likely following a commercial, you can tell Avril is ready. Ready to bring out and on her new single. IMHO her best-ever number, the song of the decade.

Not only is NH the jewel of this TV performance, but it is the gem of this file. There are two different sources at work here. One is from ABC-13. It gives us both songs, MHE as an AVI, and NH as a VOB. They are both of the same quality, good quality.

Upgrade: Then there is the other source, ABC-9 WCPO. It provides just NH, an MPEG-PS. It offers a slightly smaller picture than the other file, but the MPEG-PS picture and sound quality is not only sharper, it's HQ.
