Avril Lavigne 'Don't Tell Me' (T4 video)

Avril performed 'Don't Tell Me' on May 2, 2004, in London on UK Channel 4's, 'T4.' 'Don't Tell Me' had just been released earlier that same week, on April 27. It was her first single off her second album, Under My Skin. The song was written by Avril and Evan, and produced by Butch.

Per Wikipedia, "in a review of the album Under My Skin, David Browne of Entertainment Weekly said 'Lavigne herself sounds more burdened; ... the sk8erboi of the first album has turned out to be a selfish, nasty creep who leaves when she won't go to bed with him.'"

In a darkly lit studio the band mimes along to the single's recorded track (abbreviated, as the second chorus is cut). At the start of the performance, one hears crowd applause. But the audience is never seen, and there is no noise from them throughout or even when the song ends and the guitar's feedback fades away. Methinks the crowd was faked, too. However, the song's two authors Avril and Evan, do bring the vocals live.
