'A little video from the studio right now.' That is Avril's title for this video. She posted a link to it on her Twitter, MySpace and Facebook this past Sunday.
Despite having strep throat, Avril checks in with a self-filmed, laptop video report from Hensen Recording Studios in Hollywood. The vid was posted on Youtube by her producer this past Saturday night.
It has over 115,000 views now. (Sorry for the late post. Like Av, I too have been sick. Even beyond being delirious about seeing Avril once again... ... Now I was all over Avril's first-time chiming-in from Henson Studios, last Friday morning in the A-M forum. Not like anyone said they cared... I'm such a sick bitch.) So everyone here may already have seen/have this video, but here you are in case not. For if you haven't, you should. For contrary to rumor, Avril and I are bringing the love to the fans.
As you can see from the screencap above, Avril is in fab fun spirits. With the lights down low she reports in a soft voice, that she's been in the studio for the last 10 days straight working till 2 to 6 in the morning. That for the last couple of days prior she was on doctor's orders not to sing due to strep throat. But that the day of the video Av was feeling better and so she had sang some.
Avril introduces her new friend (to her left, above), with whom she's been writing songs. She calls her, 'Grizzly Bear.' Avril does not reveal just whom is this Grizzly Bear. GB is wearing shades, as well as a surgical mask due to Avril's contagious throat condition. And GB does not say anything.
Shiloh from Bandaids suspects GB may be Skylar Grey, and I concur. Avril just started following Skylar on Twitter. And Skylar re-tweeted this video.
Anyway, Avril gives a brief tour of the studio. Then she heads into the mix room to introduce us to her producer, Alex Da Kid, or as she calls him, "Alex The King." She has ADK play a little of bit of rocking that they've been working on, before giving us the peace, out.

ADKWonderland1 = Alex Da Kid + (his record label) Wonderland
His youtube account was opened 10.18.07.
ICYW: You cannot change the user name of a youtube account.
If Alex's account instead had been brand new, I would have guessed it was a joint account, with Wonderland1 as Avril (re: 'Alice').
Anyway, what a mad coincidence!

Today, Alex Da Kid confirmed Skylar Grey as co-writer on the single 'Love The Way You Lie,' via a Billboard interview.
Skylar Grey aka 'Grizzly Bear'? (pen-name H. Hafferman),
along with Eminem (pen-name M. Mathers),
& the track's producer, ADK (pen-name A. Grant),
co-wrote only the No. 1 song in the USA the past 4 straight weeks...
